bird + cloud study

Painting clouds and birds in watercolor is magic all on its own. The one small, fluid motion to create the stroke of wings feels like such a natural use of the paintbrush. I have painted many, many of these small clouds and birds studies mostly as practice for larger paintings, and then started finding them beautiful all on their own.
